Signs of Problem Gambling
Problem gambling can develop gradually. If any of the following apply to you or someone you know, it may be time to seek help:
- •Spending more money on lottery than you can afford
- •Chasing losses or playing to win back what you have lost
- •Neglecting work, family, or other responsibilities because of lottery play
- •Lying to friends or family about how much you play
- •Feeling anxious, guilty, or distressed about your gambling
- •Borrowing money to play
- •Playing with money meant for essentials like food or bills
Self-Exclusion
If you feel you need to stop playing, you can self-exclude from lottery products through the National Lottery:
- •Visit national-lottery.co.uk and set a self-exclusion period in your account settings.
- •Contact the National Lottery directly to request self-exclusion if you cannot do it online.
- •GAMSTOP ( gamstop.co.uk ) allows you to self-exclude from all UK-licensed gambling sites simultaneously.
Self-exclusion is a serious commitment. It cannot be undone immediately. If you need support making this decision, call the National Gambling Helpline first.
Under-18s
EuroMillions and the National Lottery are strictly for players aged 18 and over. EuroBillions.co.uk does not target, encourage, or accommodate anyone under 18. We do not sell tickets or operate games. If you are under 18 and have accidentally accessed this site, please speak to a parent or trusted adult.
If you are a parent or guardian concerned about a minor's gambling activity, GAMSTOP's parental controls may help.
A reminder: Playing the lottery should never feel like a way to make money or solve financial problems. The odds are firmly against winning. Only spend what you can afford to lose, and treat any win as a fortunate surprise — not an expectation.
